Tuesday, May 23: We arrived in Nata as the sun was beginning to set, and immediately drove to the home of Thamane Mosima. He was employed to help construct the buildings and fence for the Nata Sanctuary, a project that Jeff supervised in the early 1990s. We have maintained contact with Thamane, particularly since our visit to Nata in February 2003. He hadn't returned home from work yet, so we decided to find accommodation at the Nata Lodge a short distance from the village.
