Our final excursion on the last full day in Nata was to the village of Manxotai to look for baskets to purchase. The route there included revisiting an area we saw in 2003, while Botswana was experiencing a drought. The area was so dry at the time that people living in the bush and on cattle posts were forced to dig many feet into the earth to find water for their livestock. That same spot, in this year of record rainfall, looks completely different now.
